Audience Member This is a great adaptation Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A pointless mind-numbing job, anguished death and not enough sex is all the average man can expect it seems. And love? Pfff... don't make me laugh. I haven't read Michel Houellebecq in years but this superb film, based on his novel and co-scripted by him, is much misanthropically mirthful than I remember his novels being. Harel is brilliant as the director/actor and all the scenes are razor sharp and exact to a point. Literary adaptations are a risky business but Harel succeeds magnificently here and the film deserves to be more well known than it is I feel. But speaking of razors - pass the box of them over here. Now, please. Un peu long quand meme. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Darkly comic slice of French cynicism and misanthropy.
