The situations are far-fetched… a ton of plot conveniences are introduced into the storytelling… the arcs get a little too convoluted for their own good… and the ending exposition dump is uninspired. And despite all that, I was still mostly entertained.

Exterritorial is a great movie, not only an entertaining genre ride, but of high cinematic value... it is very authentic with carefully staged action sequences and excellent, emotional performances. The setting is very gritty and realistic, not your typical over the top production design. The only minis is the scheme why the kid was abducted, that's a little constructed but for me that comes with the the genre and did not really bother me. It worked ok and did not affect the rest, which is absolutely great!
