the film is barely distinguished from other thrillers with visually impaired protagonists (Blink, Julia's Eyes, etc), and suffers from an over-obvious solution and some overblown melodrama in the final scenes. Go to Full Review

Super hilarious. One of the funnier movies I've seen in a while, and takes itself so seriously that you can't help but burst out laughing in moments of supposedly heightened tension. Go to Full Review
Kaori Shoji Japan Times 04/29/2020
If all of this sounds drearily predictable, it is my regrettable job to tell you that "Faces in the Crowd" walks that well-paved road of serial-killer suspense with a slow, deliberate tread. Go to Full Review

roman E Jul 17 The acting is amazing , and the movie took the turn about how will sje realise who the killer while making us know him this in order to increase the suspense about : how will she do it ? How will she discover the truth ? I loved that movie and Milla Jovovich acted very well in it See more May 27 Nothing makes sense, other than a big mess and confusion, playing with your mind but not in a good entertaining way , rather silly. Waste of time See more John C Feb 7 Milla Jovovich plays a primary school teacher (I wish she was my primary school teacher when I was growing up, but that's a different story) who hears about one of those serial killers on the TV before she goes out. Then she goes out and ends up getting battered by the same one. In doing so she loses the ability to recognise people and has to, er, I forget. It was at that point I started doing something else. She goes to see an old woman/psychiatrist/doctor who coaches her like Obi-wan Kenobi in drag. Faces in the Crowd has got a nice premise behind it, plus Milla's not bad in most of what she does. Therefore it must find a certain amount of people out there who liked it. I just found it boring. There's only so many times she can see someone and not recognise them, only to find out it's someone she knows. Then, at just before the ninety minute mark, finally bump back into the serial killer and... I won't spoil it for you. You might want to find out for yourself. Then again, if you're a fan of Milla Jovovich, you might just want to stick on one of the Resident Evil films or the Fifth Element. See more Amy C 12/22/2024 This is a terrible movie. If I could give it a 0/5 stars I would. Nothing in this movie is even remotely believable. No one has common sense and every character makes the wrong decision under every circumstance. I understand "movie logic" and allow some silliness but it just got ridiculous. I found myself hoping that the serial killer would win just so the stupid heroine could learn some common sense and heaven forbid, arm herself instead of waiting for a man to come and save her. Overall, this movie stinks worse than an alleyway in Mumbai. See more Kunal R 11/21/2024 Agreed that an accident caused her to see changing faces but does it also changes the voice and body gestures which she was unable to make out... I would not recommend anyone to watch this movie. See more Vlado H 09/06/2024 While watching this movie it occurred to me that we should have not only the B movies but also a C category. This one would qualify. At times it felt like parody on thrillers. Other times I was wondering what made the producers to put money into such embarrassing script. Couldn't decide if I should laugh or roll my eyes. Nonstop collection of silly clichés that would probably work better as a comedy/parody instead of taking itself so seriously. B movies can be entertaining in their silliness. C movies test audiences' patience. I gave it two stars because this one managed to compel me to stay and watch it to its predictable ending. Or, was it Mila that made me to stay? See more Read all reviews
