Audience Member charmingly slapstick... i loved the scenario in the beginning and how devoted the lead actor was in getting a cup of coffee to his lady love :) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A little (too much?) stupid, but still funny. Some very American jokes (i.e. teen movies), but also similarities to Jacques Tati, Buster Keaton and Wooy Allen's romantic comedies. It makes me think with pleasure in those who say to love French movies without realizing that "French cinema" is nothing but a concept. "Fais-moi plaisir!" is as banal as many American comedies are, although it's true that it has charm. And isn't this charm part of the concept? Tres sympatique. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Delightful light-hearted french romcom about modern choices and how they unravel into inane situations but ultimately, there's no (one/place) like home. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member It tells a story of people facing seductions and feeling insecure when in a relationship truthfully. This Mouret's film is a combination of Rohmer, Allen and Peter Sellers, but thankfully it doesn't turn into another Benigni. It still has its French bitter aftertaste to it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Saw this at SIFF. Without giving away anything, it was a blast! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
