Audience Member A fine low budget supernatural action movie starring Dolph Lundgren as a former Spetnaz soldier turned Knights Templar fighting a a body hopping demon. When it wasn't focused on Dolph and the lead actress this was bad. But the two leads had good chemistry and Dolph was kind of played as the damsel in distress having to be saved by the woman archeologist. Also a young Michael Greyeyes pops up for a quick minute that was a cool surprise. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review joe m "Fallen Knight" (aka "The Minion") is a pretty standard end of the world tale that mixes Christian mythology - in this case the Knights Templar - along with some Native American lore. A key to unleash the Anti-Christ is uncovered in a lost cave under Manhattan and it's up to Lucas (Dolph Lundgren) as the Knight Templar to swoop in and save the day. A lot of nonsense, but if this mash up of pseudo-religious beliefs along with a lot of gratuitious violence is to your liking, "Fallen Knight" is the flick for you. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Ick. Poor Dolph deserves better than this sloppy end of the world flick. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member "The Minion" (a.k.a. Fallen Knight here in Canada) is a boring fantasy action flick with bad acting, a lazy script and with a budget so thin (too thin for grenade explosions apparently) that there's no way any audience could see it without being disappointed. The film is so poorly written that there is absolutely no drama or tension. An obvious plot point for example, would be for a character we care about to be possessed by "The Minion" to create the "are they going to find a way to bring him back, or are they going to have to kill their friend?" scenario but this never happens. Instead we just see characters we don't care about be bumped off one after the other. The film also contains a lot of racism, thrown in to quickly to make us hate the "bad guys" (instead of giving them a personality or setting up a situation that would make us cheer for the protagonists instead). Even if you were a hardcore fan of Dolph Lundgren, the action scenes are bad so there's no reason to see this. (Canadian release on VHS tape, August 1, 2012) Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Ick. Poor Dolph deserves better than this sloppy end of the world flick. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Not too good plot, Dolph is not a good actor and even the fighting scenes are scrap.
