Jack's lavish, fast-paced lifestyle changes one Christmas night when he stumbles into a grocery store holdup and disarms the gunman. The next morning he wakes up in bed lying next to Kate (Tea Leoni), his college sweetheart he left in order to pursue his career, and to the horrifying discovery that his former life no longer exists. As he stumbles through this alternate suburban universe, Jack finds himself at a crossroad where he must choose between his high-power career and the woman he loves.

Though I have never liked Nicholas Cage, I do really love this movie..even enough to forget that he's in it. I guess never having a family, the movie kind of invites you in so you can dream for a little while..just a little while. Tea Leoni is great, and perfect for this role and I have to grudgingly admit that Cage isn't bad..as long as he's not singing.

A really underrated Christmas movie. Strong cast, nice message. Sure it pulls off of Wonderful Life but it doesn't change the quality of the movie. The soundtrack is awesome as well.

Nick Cage really does play himself in every movie. This one does play like a hallmark movie from start to finish. Fine, not good, not terrible, watch if you are in a holiday trance and need to be braindead for 2 hours.

This has become one of my go to Christmas movies. It's a very tight story, hums along, no slow parts, great cast, direction. I love the message of the movie even though I chose the career path over the family life, I still can appreciate it. One of my favourite Nic Cage movies and Tea Leoni is great.
