Jack's lavish, fast-paced lifestyle changes one Christmas night when he stumbles into a grocery store holdup and disarms the gunman. The next morning he wakes up in bed lying next to Kate (Tea Leoni), his college sweetheart he left in order to pursue his career, and to the horrifying discovery that his former life no longer exists. This is one of my favorite movies, one of those I stop and watch every time it is on. I can't believe it isn't rated higher. The casting is perfection, it makes you laugh, tugs at your heart and leaves you with the feeling anything and love is possible.

Though I have never liked Nicholas Cage, I do really love this movie..even enough to forget that he's in it. I guess never having a family, the movie kind of invites you in so you can dream for a little while..just a little while. Tea Leoni is great, and perfect for this role and I have to grudgingly admit that Cage isn't bad..as long as he's not singing.

A really underrated Christmas movie. Strong cast, nice message. Sure it pulls off of Wonderful Life but it doesn't change the quality of the movie. The soundtrack is awesome as well.

Synopsis
