Critics Consensus

Dull and downbeat, this Fantastic Four proves a woefully misguided attempt to translate a classic comic series without the humor, joy, or colorful thrills that made it great.

"Fantastic Four" is a profound mess. It's not fun. It's not exciting. It's far from action-packed. And it's most certainly not fantastic. Go to Full Review

A poorly constructed, ineptly executed, flatfooted piece of Branded Product that plays as though it were written by a piece of software fed every superhero movie script to date and instructed to synthesize them. Go to Full Review

A lightweight and basically unnecessary attempt to once again bring some cinematic life to one of the lesser teams in the Marvel Universe. Go to Full Review

A remake so radioactive it makes previous iterations look good. It’s amazing anyone wanted to try again after this. A true testament to the likability of the actors involved, because this is a true career killer. Go to Full Review

Roman Z Nov 26 The reboot is so lame don't like the CGI Dr Doom looks like an android and makes me feel like fox didnt do well with fantastic four until it came into the MCU. I love it that its dark but dont love the story that isnt related to the comics. See more Colton D. @Pizza149 Nov 14 The whole movie is terrible. Michael Jordan was never supposed to play the human torch and plus the thing is naked like WTF and this this movie ever comes back in the MCU as another universe I am gonna make sure that the mr. fantastic this film becomes the maker like the ultimate version did in the comics See more Some R Nov 2 I think this might just be the worst superhero film i have ever watched in my entire life. The special effects are subpar at best, and the writing is cheesy with numerous plot holes. It’s devoid of life and color, and if Ben wasn’t in the movie poster I’d have no idea that this was a Fantastic Four movie. Go watch Fantastic Four First Steps instead. See more Jackie P. @jnpadilla42 Oct 27 fantastic for... no one? cheesy writing, poor special effects. waste of time See more Juan Diego Q Oct 12 Que fue lo que dijiste?
