The writing feels as if you're watching a stiff afternoon soap opera, and the way the actors deliver the lines are emotionless and strait forward. The underscore is melodramatic and puts a blanket over the entirety of the film making it heavier than it needs to be. The lighting made me cringe on multiple occasions. Just because it is low budget does not mean the time could not be spared to properly set up lighting equipment. The sound mixing is shoddy; the foley is too loud and the dialogue is to low. There was very little I enjoyed about this film, but a positive to take away is the cinematography. Several shots are excellent they just last way, way to long on screen. As a filmmaker this gives me hope that a low budget film can be picked up by a distribution company no matter the quality. The story is the stock apocalypse storyline, the actors are forgettable, and the direction is very, very poor. This film is not good. Thank God it was only 73 minutes.
