L S It's almost impossible to not love Goldberg doing what she does best as a wise cracking cop with a heart of gold. Enjoyable and entertaining. Nothing more nothing less. It's really disappointing when almost everyone envonved in a film says they regret it. Especially when they achieve exactly what they set out to do. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/18/23 Full Review Big T Pure 80s goodness. Speaking with my nostalgia glasses on, of course. Probably not a blockbuster back then but a decent flick to watch today if your looking to reconnect with the past and kill some time. Very cliche but I liked Goldberg's performance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Total Junk Movie, has to be Whoopi's worst movie ever---Very poorly done, and it understandably bombed at the box office, don't waste your time Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A very thrilling action-comedy with Harold Faltermeyer's wonderful electronical score! Beautiful actress game Goldberg and Elliot. And get out racism! 10 / 10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Sam Elliot...need I say more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Just as dumb / entertaining as the rest of the '80s action heap. Fun enough. Janet Maslin New York Times The wisecracks and the swaggering are as unrelieved as the film's almost comically ecstatic gunplay. Someone must have figured audiences like things this way. Rated: 2/5 May 20, 2003 Full Review Rita Kempley Washington Post Bloody, boring and pandering, is as poisonous as the drug trade it pretends to defame. Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Goldberg's best work since The Color Purple. Rated: 3/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) I'd rather see Whoopi Goldberg in a mediocre movie than not see her at all, but now they are asking too much of me, and running my patience thin. [Full review in Spanish] Jul 6, 2022 Full Review Roger Hurlburt South Florida Sun-Sentinel Nothing, not a thing in Fatal Beauty is believable. Rated: 1/4 Aug 19, 2021 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat Never quite hits the sweet spot in balancing action and humor. The film clunkily moves back and forth between them, rather than getting them to work in unison. Rated: 2/4 Apr 19, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews
