Just when George Banks (Steve Martin) has gotten used to his daughter, Annie (Kimberly Williams), being married, she announces that she's pregnant, making him an impending grandfather. Shaken by nearing this new milestone in his life, George soon has to process even more surprising news -- his wife, Nina (Diane Keaton), is pregnant too. Cheesy pap, but a few glossy moments. Go to Full Review

Father of the Bride Part II is not a great movie and not even as good as its 1991 inspiration (not to mention the Spencer Tracy-Elizabeth Taylor original from 1950). But it is warm and fuzzy, and has some good laughs and a lot of sweetness. Go to Full Review

Martin, Keaton and cinematographer William A. Fraker put this retro fluff over better than expected early on, but hour 2 is only for those who don't want their equilibriums rattled by surprises. Go to Full Review

Joshua B Nov 25 Trite, pappy, crap. I hate George Banks. The man who can’t enjoy a moment until it’s over. Syrupy supporting characters prop him up, but are so flat and uninteresting. The whole family could get hit by a bus and I wouldn't give a rip. There is exactly one funny line, "Do I know you?!" Not enough for 2 hours. I love the ‘90s. I love the films from the ‘90s. But, this one, need not be revisited. Skip it. See more Stephen C @bob25009 May 26 This sequel is worse than Part 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more Miguel T Feb 27 I have been looking for a while a sequel that has everything a sequel should have: maintaining the uniqueness of the original and adding new elements that harmonize it, keeping it fresh. Making you feel you are at home while you see sonething new. Ladies and gentlemen: Father of the Bride II is the perfect sequel. The shots are very well thought out, everyone well placed. It provokes a few laughs. It reinforces the message of the original: just let go. I was really touched by the last shot because something similar happened to me recently. The synopsis is great. Martin Short is much funnier (and more bearable) in this one. Kieran Culkin is the MVP and Steve Martin fliring is inmediatly iconic. It's a bit boring at times and a bit slow, but it's twice as good as the previous one, and for that alone it deserves more recognition. See more Dave C 03/01/2024 The predictability of this instalment takes some of the shine away from it. It's more of the same scripting, performances, and comedy, just with pregnancies instead of a wedding. Enjoyable enough, but I definitely prefer the first See more Carlos T 07/31/2023 Minha opinião: Um elenco de peso na aréa da comedia. Pois temos ainda Eugene (American Pie) e Wong (Jurassic park). Roteiro e enredo tudo morno. Vale apena assistir?
