Tim Robey Daily Telegraph (UK) The general dead air and creepy ending make it hard to see who, beyond members of the Winstone/Howman clans, might be interested. Rated: 1/5 Nov 19, 2010 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian It seems like a very personal project for both Winstone and Howman, filled with interesting but unfinished and undeveloped dramatic ideas. Rated: 2/5 Nov 18, 2010 Full Review Dave Calhoun Time Out As a study in grief, it's too distracting to make an impact. Rated: 2/5 Nov 17, 2010 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film Limp and limping, even the short 76-minute runtime feels like a chore. Rated: 1.5/5 Nov 20, 2010 Full Review Daily Express (UK) Ray Winstone is a fine actor but even he cannot inject much life into the maudlin drama Fathers Of Girls. Nov 19, 2010 Full Review Alex Zane The Sun (UK) Howman and his co-director/writer Ethem Cetintas are so concerned with keeping the plot mellow that they have robbed their story of any drama. Audience Member I sat through the whole of this movie waiting for Ray Winstone to pummel the living shit out of the person responsible for the death of his daughter. He never did. Instead i just sat through the whole of this movie listening to him mumbling to himself. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Very personal low budget project, simple and really touching. Seems to develop a few strands that don't actually go anywhere but the main message is made clear with the help of an ending that's both creepy and perfectly poignant. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member A man tries to piece together the final days of his daughters life to try and find out why she ended a victim of a drug overdose. Redifining boredom, this film crawls along at a snails pace with Ray Winstone sleepwalking through the role showing little or no emotion and adding a mind numbing voice over Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
