Gina It was okay .. you have to pay attention . It can get confusing .. seems a little slow but picks up .. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/21 Full Review Roos S I really enjoyed this movie. Some reviews stated the lack of focus of the movie, with the kidnapping, mental illness, grief, etc., but I actually considered that as part of the story. The main point of the story is the difficulty of the main character in distinguishing reality from hallucination and navigating that reality successfully. Even in reality, things will occur that do not make sense to us and which we cannot phantom. The lead actress did a brilliant job of depicting the struggle of navigating reality with the added struggles of mental illness. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/04/23 Full Review Roger L Interesting story with a 'happy ending'. Actors ok. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/05/23 Full Review Sarah A This is a refreshing thriller in the sense it isn't just another car chase to the death or a killer hunting it's prey. This film brings awareness to mental health struggles and how we should be kind and not quick to judge. It did a great job, as there were twists and turns that I didn't guess. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/11/23 Full Review Jordan S Good movie great acting loved the story line the film was slow on some parts and it dragged on a bit could of been shorter for what it was. Definitely worth a watch 7/10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/01/23 Full Review steve d Surprising and with a great performance from Madison Iseman. It keeps you guessing and is emotionally effective. Cath Clarke Guardian There are a couple of ludicrous twists at the end that make it very watchable. Rated: 3/5 Apr 20, 2021 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety Middling at best in terms of suspense mechanics, and not the most perceptive treatment of mental illness you'll ever see, this nonetheless compels interest as a well-acted drama-cum-mystery... Feb 12, 2021 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times This is ultimately a nuanced character study, awkwardly wedged into a run-of-the-mill genre picture. Feb 12, 2021 Full Review Rebecca Johnson Film Focus Online Fear of Rain takes the fun trope of having an unreliable narrator and a seemingly interesting plot, yet unfortunately turns it into a bland mystery-drama that once again uses mental illness as an excuse for horror. Rated: 2/5 Aug 6, 2023 Full Review Paul Lê Nightmare on Film Street The thriller elements seem wedged in when it’s convenient, but in the grand scheme, the need for strong character work exceeds scares. Rated: 8/10 Jul 23, 2023 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue The twists provide some surprises, but at the expense of logic and narrative coherence. Jul 13, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
