Matilda B amazing setting amazing sisters amazing plot Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/22/24 Full Review Samuel V I found this movie quite intriguing. While I was on the fence after the first one, this sequel really grabbed my attention. It's not exactly scary, but it does a solid job of keeping you engaged, always wondering what's going to happen next. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review Alec C The secrets to the present are most likely hidden in the past! As the teens consult a survivor of a past massacre, we are thrust back in time where a simple sleep-away camp is targeted by a brainwashed killer and the bodies begin to pile up. This follow-up manages to combine some impressive thrills along with a tale of two sisters to make for a fascinating sequel! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Leandro T It was very bloody but a great setting and an amazing story. Warning: if you can't stand a lot of blood and graphic deaths, don't watch this movie. If you've seen the first and plan on watching all of them, this one really ties it all together. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review xavier e Better than the original, better than its sequel. The Friday the 13th vibe has me hooked Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Sasha T Awesome horror movie, best era and movie out of all of the fear streets. I really just love all movies with 80's themes. Sadie Sink does such a great job portraying her character, such a well-rounded actor. I'll watch mostly anything she's in, she always does a great job bringing the movie to life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Inkoo Kang Washington Post So much of the trilogy is dedicated to expositional scenes laying down the foundations of Shadyside's history, there's too much that's admirable in theory and flat on screen. Jul 30, 2021 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com As love letters to 1970s and '80s slashers go, this is one of the best I've seen outside of 2015's The Final Girls. Rated: 3/4 Jul 26, 2021 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Pajiba Compared with 1994, in 1978, the kills were more shocking, the atmosphere more tense, the characters more believable and well-rounded, and the world-building more thoughtful. Jul 24, 2021 Full Review Jennifer Bisset CNET Of course, there's some classic R.L. Stine twists that keep you guessing until the very end... Mar 31, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies As for “1978”, it manages to be both nostalgically transporting and needlessly irritating. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 17, 2022 Full Review Erick Estrada Cinegarage A homage to '70s slasher horror films full of gore and carnage. [Full review in Spanish] Jul 21, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
