KEVIN C Scout Taylor Compton and friends head out to the woods on a camping trip when a member of their party is attacked by a human-like creature which transfers a virus to its victim transforming it into something feral. This movie was pretty much what you'd expect and nothing more. It gets started right away and doesn't wear out it's welcome with a lengthy runtime. Compton is a worthy choice for a lead and her presence elevates what would've been a mediocre flick. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/28/22 Full Review jon h Is Taylor Scout whatever her name is actually in any good films? Genuinely. Every film I see her in is atrocious. First saw her in that abysmal Halloween remake. At least in that her acting was ok, not going to say it was great but it was fine. Every film I've seen her in since that was made after that her acting is worse. Here again she's awful. But then again the whole film is terrible. I don't know who her agent is, or who's giving her acting advice or advice about her career, but joking aside they need sacking. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member That is the most generic horror I've seen in years, avoid! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/21 Full Review Audience Member wack. Not worth the time Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Emil T It literally took me 4 or 5 sittings to finish this one, over a two-day period, because it annoyed me and was sorta boring. I know this is a film, but people don't act like this or make these types of stupid decisions. The story was not consistent and by the end, you didn't really know who you were supposed to "cheer" for. Acting was fine, the look was fine, and the practical effects were fine, but the film needed either a bigger budget or a more passionate director. Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com But the movie isn't good. In fairness, it also isn't bad. It's just instantly forgettable... Rated: 2/4 Jun 4, 2018 Full Review Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com Director Young shoots his unimaginative opus with an eye of getting all the value of the gore makeup department's work on screen. In this respect, he does a bang-up job. Rated: 1/4 May 25, 2018 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Methodical and efficient, the script gets some mileage from its generic setting and zombie-infection theme, even if the croaking order is easily predicted. May 24, 2018 Full Review Drew Tinnin Dread Central A Rob Zombie family reunion of sorts, Feral's main draw for horror buffs (especially those of us who frequent the convention circuit) is the inclusion of fan favorites Scout Taylor-Compton and Lew Temple. Rated: 2.5 Jul 30, 2020 Full Review Steven Prokopy Third Coast Review In a world where horror is becoming increasingly mainstream, it's nice to be reminded that down-and-dirty B-movies like this one can still get the job done. Jun 16, 2020 Full Review Patrick King Cultured Vultures At the end of the film, we finally get a genuinely moving emotional scene. It's too bad it came so late, because if Feral had concentrated on this kind of emotion instead of its mechanical plotting, we could have had a great film here. Well, too bad.
