      Critics Consensus

This stylish yet disappointingly predictable Spanish thriller is never as exciting or ingenious as it hopes to be.

Charlotte O'Sullivan London Evening Standard An ingenious Spanish thriller about maths, sex, ambition and dog poo. Rated: 3/5 Jun 2, 2009 Full Review Tim Robey Daily Telegraph (UK) The diabolical m.o. in these things is never really satisfactory, and even the fun of the conceit is somewhat muffled by the film's lurid colour design and headachey close-ups. Rated: 2/5 May 29, 2009 Full Review Ian Nathan Empire Magazine Maths boffins + twist of mystery - patchy ending = uneven thriller. Rated: 3/5 May 29, 2009 Full Review David Cornelius DVDTalk.com The filmmakers have us hooked with a terrific mystery and the challenge of a good puzzle. Rated: 4/5 Nov 11, 2009 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Combustible Celluloid The best part is that, for once, it's a film about smart people. Oct 2, 2009 Full Review Sean Axmaker Seanax.com ... a cerebral thriller with a different kind of locked-room mystery. Sep 28, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews

Guzz L Great movie, brings new things to this style of thriller with deadly games. The mathematical and logical puzzles are incredible, the story is very good and the plots add even more layers of surprise. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/24 Full Review colin m A bit silly, but twists and turns keep a person watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member First of all This Review not for Spanish audience. Because they used to see the cast and directors and they will like this movie based on cast. But as a world wide audience This is one of the worst movie ever I watched. While they exposed the suspense I said Wtf? Dozen of loop holes, Lot of funny solving in the name of Enigma. Are u a math freak? Then you will hang on fan absolutely after seeing this. Other then Roman, Everyone deserves to die. Cheating Gf, car accident maker, Gf Looser. But Roman died with a cop and all escaped.Indian movies are better than this trash. Ending was main funny part on the movie. Do not got tension to watch the funny ending. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This Spanish whodunnit thriller about four mathematicians racing against time to solve puzzles to escape a shrinking room promises nifties of genius but falls apart when it fumbles to come up with a gimmicky resolution in the final stage of presentation. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member When smart people start going insane, very good Spanish thriller. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Los retos matemáticos son muy conocidos y simples, nada digno de grandes matemáticos, y los giros de guión están cogidos con pinzas, pero me ha entretenido Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
