Salesman Randy Gates (Rex Bell) loses his job when he gets into a fight with obnoxious customer Gus Durkin (Al Bridge). By coincidence, Randy's brief acquaintance with Rita Walsh (Betty Mack) provides him with Gus' old job, managing a branch of Nash Petroleum. Randy's enthusiasm takes a beating when his learns that boss Nash (Gordon De Main) is swindling the town out of stock investments. When Nash realizes this, he and Gus frame Randy, who is then also accused of trying to murder the sheriff.
