Final Destination 3 is more of the same: gory and pointless, with nowhere new to go.

Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness Vapid, pointless and wholly predictable. Rated: C- Mar 19, 2006 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle In its own morbid little way, this is very much a stand-up-and-cheer -- or shriek, as the case may be -- kind of film. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 4, 2006 Full Review Stella Papamichael BBC.com Once more, Wong raises questions of fate and predestination and, while throwing in a tasteless reference to 9/11, fails to address them. It's an orgy of cheerful carnage with no context or purpose and, worst of all, no suspense. Rated: 1/5 Feb 18, 2006 Full Review Stephen A. Russell Orion's Shoulder (Substack) The absolute scenes of Wong’s opener set on a wonky rollercoaster [but] it's a little sluggish, otherwise, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Wendy doing my head in a bit. In a series that delights in silliness, she’s just too much. May 25, 2025 Full Review Megan Williams Battle Royale With Cheese ‘Final Destination 3’ is a fan favourite for a reason: the death scenes are the most visually horrific ones so far in the franchise, and the cast are fantastic. Nov 17, 2024 Full Review James Croot The Post NZ Wong and co- writer Glen Morgan have again carefully and craftily plotted their set pieces, encouraging the audience to search for clues in, and out, of the frame. Rich C Love these films. This was a good one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/30/25 Full Review Kimmi B. Not the best rendition in the series, but it did have some memorable kills including an excellent double kill early in the film. The intro scene was fun, but honestly lackluster compared to other final destination intros. Loved the goth side characters, funny and well acted. Don’t love the high school back drop, and I found it more interesting when adults were dealing with the final destination situation. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/28/25 Full Review Leviathan M It seems like Final Destination 3 tried to make an improvement by changing some stuff, but it had the same problems the first one had. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/28/25 Full Review Ian S More of the same. The formula is firmly in place. A few good moments but I preferred the first two movies. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/20/25 Full Review chris m first english, below spanish: english: visual over story. the saga that reinvented death as spectacle had set the bar very high with its first two installments. this third entry, however, shows signs of wear. the bet is on taking the deaths further, now more graphic, filled with blood and violence. some work thanks to their ingenuity, but the impact no longer surprises as before. the characters lack real charisma and feel more like pieces within a machine than protagonists of a story. the plot barely serves as an excuse to link scenes of fatality, and that lack of narrative strength leaves a growing sense of emptiness. even so, the film retains some appeal: there are visually well-executed moments and the franchise still delivers tense scenes capable of provoking a reaction from the viewer. but what was once fresh and disturbing now begins to sound repetitive, like a game that has already revealed too many of its rules. spanish: visual por encima de trama. la saga que reinventó la muerte como espectáculo había dejado el listón muy alto con sus dos primeras entregas. esta tercera parte, sin embargo, muestra signos de desgaste. la apuesta está en llevar las muertes más lejos, ahora más gráficas, llenas de sangre y violencia. algunas funcionan gracias a su ingenio, pero el impacto ya no sorprende como antes. los personajes carecen de verdadero carisma y se sienten más como piezas dentro de una máquina que como protagonistas de una historia. la trama apenas sirve de excusa para unir escenas de fatalidad, y esa falta de solidez narrativa deja una sensación de vacío que se hace cada vez más evidente. aun así, la película conserva cierto atractivo: hay momentos visualmente bien ejecutados y la franquicia sigue ofreciendo escenas de tensión capaces de provocar una reacción en el espectador. pero lo que antes era fresco y perturbador ahora empieza a sonar repetitivo, como un juego que ya ha revelado demasiadas de sus reglas. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/25 Full Review Renee T I enjoyed this one like FD2, the roller coaster scene especially, very creative. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/14/25 Full Review Read all reviews
