Critics Consensus

Final Destination 3 is more of the same: gory and pointless, with nowhere new to go.

Empire Magazine Rated: 3/5 Dec 30, 2006 Full Review Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness Vapid, pointless and wholly predictable. Rated: C- Mar 19, 2006 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle In its own morbid little way, this is very much a stand-up-and-cheer -- or shriek, as the case may be -- kind of film. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 4, 2006 Full Review Stephen A. Russell Orion's Shoulder (Substack) The absolute scenes of Wong’s opener set on a wonky rollercoaster [but] it's a little sluggish, otherwise, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s Wendy doing my head in a bit. In a series that delights in silliness, she’s just too much. May 25, 2025 Full Review Megan Williams Battle Royale With Cheese ‘Final Destination 3’ is a fan favourite for a reason: the death scenes are the most visually horrific ones so far in the franchise, and the cast are fantastic. Nov 17, 2024 Full Review James Croot The Post NZ Wong and co- writer Glen Morgan have again carefully and craftily plotted their set pieces, encouraging the audience to search for clues in, and out, of the frame. Sdn T Este filme mostra mais uma vez que é possível fazer cenas memoráveis Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/29/25 Full Review matthias s *Final Destination 3* used to be my favorite, mostly because it kickstarted my irrational fear of rollercoasters (thanks, opening scene). While the premonition isn’t as jaw-dropping as the plane or highway ones, it still packs a punch. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is solid as always—total franchise MVP. I’ve always loved the creepy photo clue gimmick; it adds a fun, twisted detective layer. The kills? Classic *Final Destination*—inventive, gory, sometimes hilarious. It’s not as tight or memorable as the first two, but still a decent, death-filled ride. A little dated, a little dumb—but hey, that’s part of the charm. ★★★ Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/28/25 Full Review Augusto : The best one of the franchise. The best cast and a good plot twist. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/28/25 Full Review Jelisije J A memorable sequel that has the two main characters that survive a horrific accident that dont like each other forms a bond that makes you want to root for them to survive and thrive in their lives against their battle of death. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/26/25 Full Review Audience Member Some of the greatest kills in the franchise, specifically with the tanning beds. But with the other kills, I feel like they could have been so much more. Like with Lewis who died to the weight machine. There was way too much CGI blood that it completely ruined the kill for me. The ending was good but we don't really know if they actually died or not and haven't seen any of those three characters in any of the other instalments. It's enjoyable for sure, but not the best either. Some of the others are better in my opinion. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/25/25 Full Review Noe H I liked it, but didn't love it either that's all i can say honestly. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/22/25 Full Review Read all reviews
