What to Know

Critics Consensus

Despite the talent on board, Fire Birds is little more than a subpar military adventure sporting video game-like action, outdated philosophy, and uneven acting.

If you think of movies as big-screen video games, see Fire Birds. If not, you may want to skip this Top Gun with copters and cartels. Go to Full Review

David Green structures the film in the mold of the time-honored boys-into- men military exercise, but don't go looking for The Sands of Iwo Jima. Go to Full Review

Lean, mean, clean and empty-hearted, Fire Birds is a video-game recruiting poster with a bomb ticking inside--a bomb that never goes off. Go to Full Review

Jelisije J Jun 27 An engaging war movie that is top gun but with helicopters. When you copy the same formula you get a good film no matter how un original this film was. See more Gregory S Jun 17 Well, I watched it and made it through the whole thing. It tries hard to be Top Gun, but nope it’s not. See more Adhi P 03/26/2024 The film was made a year too early. It would've been a so much better AH-64 Apache movie if it was set on 1991 Gulf War. See more Michael W 04/02/2023 This war movie was pretty good. Nicolas Cage, Tommy Lee Jones, Sean Young, Dale Dye, and the rest of the cast did a pretty good job in this movie. The plot of the movie was action-packed, a little dramatic, and kind of entertaining. It's about fighting under pressure and overcoming it defeat the enemy. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you might enjoy it. That's my opinion. See more Steve D 02/24/2023 Aircrafts go pew pew. End of story.
