Yash B "Firewall" starts off interesting enough and I almost thought I was in for a fun ride. Unfortunately, after the setup the movie just falls apart. The thrills feel weak and the story just didn't engage me. I feel Harrison Ford was doing his best here, but this script just couldn't be saved. I found myself kind of bored and then when it ended, I really just felt relief that it was over. Overall, it is an uninspired thriller that had the potential to be fun, but it just was not entertaining for myself, and doesn't utilize the talent of someone like Harrison Ford. It suffers from the 'Ford effect', like a number of his films. The suspense and tension just don't carry when he is on one level, nor when he is jilted by a predictably formatted script and story. Harrison Ford brings back his Air Force One hero energy as he faces off against a politely menacing villain in Paul Bettany.
