Critics Consensus

Harrison Ford's rote performance brings little to this uninspired techno-heist film whose formulaic plot is befuddled with tedious and improbable twists.

The twinkle of mischievousness and sprinkle of levity that Ford brought to many of his most memorable films were mostly MIA by this point, replaced by a cranky fatigue that’s difficult to watch and impossible to enjoy. Go to Full Review

SpookySkeleton 1 Jul 20 7/10 movie. Not anything remarkable but it’s good entertainment. See more May 26 Do you really think a film critic is able to understand technology to talk about that kind of story? No, they aren't even capable to be movie directors, that's why the only criticize others work, because they aren't capable to create them self's. See more Broden S Mar 17 A decent thriller movie at best. It has some points that drag a bit. While the acting is solid enough, it's really just a popcorn movie. See more Jelisije J Mar 16 One of the last great Harrison Ford action movies that you will see. When a father must infiltrate and steal from his business in order to save his family from some diabolical home invaders. See more Yash B Feb 16 "Firewall" starts off interesting enough and I almost thought I was in for a fun ride. Unfortunately, after the setup the movie just falls apart. The thrills feel weak and the story just didn't engage me. I feel Harrison Ford was doing his best here, but this script just couldn't be saved. I found myself kind of bored and then when it ended, I really just felt relief that it was over. Overall, it is an uninspired thriller that had the potential to be fun, but it just was not entertaining for myself, and doesn't utilize the talent of someone like Harrison Ford. See more Dave C 08/12/2024 I'd see this before... a long time ago, but didn't realise until I was part way through. It suffers from the 'Ford effect', like a number of his films. The suspense and tension just don't carry when he is on one level, nor when he is jilted by a predictably formatted script and story. Not one I'll return to See more Read all reviews
