The script’s contrivances grow even creakier as we approach the climax of the action. Nonetheless, Leonard and Moorcroft know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to the mechanics of escapism.

Even the first film was just a series of feelgood clichés, so there’s no great crime in serving up a new batch with the same cheery spirit. Some of the plot ideas, though, really are desperate.

Like a not-bad second album, there's plenty of filler here -- and a few minutes that could have been left out completely, but Fisherman's Friends 2: One And All probably has just enough decent moments to repeat some of the success of the first film.

Revisit with friends made in the first film. Perhaps not quite as much singing as I would have liked, but a real delve into the effects of personal loss and defame on friendships and on fame itself. Purefoy was lovely as always, and while not all of the cast returned from the first film, The themes of this one were poignant and well rendered. A simple film, with simple themes, it should leave you with a slightly wistful smile or perhaps a full-on grin. Thoroughly enjoyed this film, and will look forward to the third, which is in discussions currently.

my review was for the FIRST fisherman's Friends movie (i didn't know there were 2 movies) the first is a great family movie but one star off for the actor who played the boss-bad actor in my opinion

The movie won't win an Oscar, but that's in its favor. Great little British movie with an uplifiting story and gorgeous views of the St. Isaac's Bay and nearby sea. The Welsh brogue is a bit hard to understand from time to time, but still ok.
