Noel Murray Los Angeles Times "Flay" is, at its core, just an OK indie drama about a bickering brother and sister, with some blah supernatural hooey clumsily appended. Mar 28, 2019 Full Review Rocco T. Thompson Rue Morgue Magazine As Joe Bob Briggs has been wont to say: “The worst thing a movie can be is boring.” If I may pile on, the second worst thing a movie can be is unwittingly offensive. Flay is both. Jul 3, 2024 Full Review EJ Moreno Flickering Myth While Flay isn't as dull as watching paint dry, the film misses the mark. A few good scares can't make up for plenty of weaker moments, and that's sadly the case here. Apr 13, 2019 Full Review Norman Gidney Film Threat Everything culminates in strained dramatics and forced tension as the audience is sure to be scratching their heads in confusion. Rated: 1/10 Jul 30, 2018 Full Review Sol Harris Starburst Flay is a ghost story in which a sister ... and brother ... are plagued by haunted paint. Whilst that sounds ludicrous, the film, itself, isn't nearly as interesting. Rated: 2/10 Feb 2, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Good but, not good enough. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member The malevolent spirit looks to much like slenderman, and the Plot was ok, the ending sucked. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Much better than expected. Although I had low expectations in the first place with all the bad Slender Man movie out there, including Sony's. It's more of a thriller than horror. No blood shed, splatter fest here, just some good characters and relationships brought to the forefront. I've seen lots of haters out there because they want this movie to be a gore fest or just a horror. This has some of the horror tropes but it's definitely more a thriller. The brother and sister relationship was a nice development. Elle LaMont is hot. Violett Beane is great in her debut before The Flash. A Michael Baldwin is still a baddass with his cowboy hat. Eric Pham is a director to keep an eye out for. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
