American crook Laura (Karen Morley) is released from jail in Germany and taken in by Polakai (Wallace Beery), a brutish but kind wrestler. Laura is grateful for Polakai's help -- and strapped for cash -- so she marries him. However, she really loves her former partner and boyfriend, Nicky (Ricardo Cortez), who is back in America. Laura talks her husband into moving there, where she reignites her romance with Nicky. But when Polakai finds out, he puts his strength to use -- violently.

Frances H Wallace Beery played the same kind of character he played in movies that were far more memorable than this one, because after the big build up to the end, the end itself was a huge let down. There is no way that any district attorney was going to let a murder, even one of passion, go and the character of Laura was just so horrible--you just want to strangle her!
