Despite its flaws, “Flight/Risk” is a comprehensive and stinging critique of a once-proud company that has lost its way and is struggling to make a comeback. And it’s a tribute to the people who died and the families who mourn them.

We did not expect Flight/Risk to play out as a suspenseful political thriller that smartly presents legal arguments, entanglements, and political views as they are, with archival footage and live recreation of the hearings.

Most moving of all are the stories of personal loss and the dogged pursuit for fair compensation, a fight that raised the obnoxious idea that skin colour and nationality could be factors in pay outs.

Low budget film. Many obvious errors. In the first quarter of the movie, it’s so loud in the plane that if you’re not wearing your headset, you can’t hear anything . And the balance of the film, it’s dead quiet in the plane, while the action is taking place. People get beaten unconscious and then are fully functional minutes later. The storyline was OK, but would not recommend this film. Going to see a film based on reviews is like buying a car based on JD Power’s reviews. It’s all great until you put your money down … then the reality sets in.

Giant companies using political power and money to avoid criminal responsibility and accountability.... who would have thought? Despite the predictable nature of the topic, it delivers strongly and we can only imagine what we would do to those execs if it happened to us.
