Vitoria F The first film to be full of colors, it's like watching a moving painting. The images and music transport us to a graceful bucolic environment. Very beautiful! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/30/23 Full Review Laura L It won the 1933 American Academy Awards. This cartoon is a creative display of the way nature wakes up in the morning. It is a fabulous personification of nature: flowers brush their teeth, others take a shower, plants dance, and two trees fall in love. And amazingly, in the 8-minute animated movie, there is enough time to have a villain character: a jealous old tree that set the forest on fire - not very environmentally, indeed. :-) In one word, this cartoon's story is ADORABLE. Enjoy it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/20/23 Full Review Louisa E How cute! This was a good plot. I was genuinely upset by the fire. Maybe that's an Australian talking, but out-of-control bushfires are scary! I am also a fan of the personification of nature. I like to think that plants have feelings IRL. It was short but sweet, with clever thoughts on nature behaving as if it was people. The music was lovely and appropriate. I love the flower bells. The animation was bright, colourful, and well done. My first cartoon on this Oscar journey was short and sweet, but it was memorable. 7/10. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/08/23 Full Review Bill T Remarkable and enjoyable for it's time, I found while viewing this one recently that well, it's a bit too simple. It does follow the anamorphic objects coming to life animated trend so prevalant during that time period (it actually really never ended lol). The animation here is a tiny bit crude, but the colors are terrific. Don't go into this expecting a lot, and you'll be pleased. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
