Nell Minow RogerEbert.com “Fly” goes a little further in acknowledging the risks and responsibility or lack thereof involved than the recent “Skywalkers: A Love Story,” but perhaps not far enough. Rated: 3/4 Sep 27, 2024 Full Review Esther Zuckerman indieWire Where “Fly” fails is in explaining how this all works. It’s a remarkably untechnical film and you come away with more questions than answers about the mechanics of jumping. Rated: C+ Aug 30, 2024 Full Review Stephen Silver The SS Ben Hecht There's the matter of the fate of one of the subjets, which adds poignancy, as well as some ethical questions. Oct 11, 2024 Full Review Allison Rose FlickDirect Fly not only tells the stories of those who live on the edge but shares their unique, healthy philosophy on death. Rated: 4/5 Oct 2, 2024 Full Review Alan French Sunshine State Cineplex While Fly spends a little too much time on some subjects, it remains a stunning introduction to a world unlike any you’ve seen on camera. Rated: 7/10 Sep 28, 2024 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media With impressive access to its handful of extreme-sport enthusiasts, Fly offers an insider's view of a small community of high-risk base and wingsuit jumpers from around the world. Ave Exciting and dramatic scenes of BASE jumping. The documentary was well done and worth seeing. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/05/24 Full Review David Hebert Really well done! Being a part of this community and knowing all the characters in real life, I can say that they captured their stories beautifully! Takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride while blasting you with the most incredible footage of wingsuit base I have ever seen! All in Imax! Perfection Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/05/24 Full Review Mim I am amazed at the speed the BASE jumpers flew, along with the varied landscapes in which they flew! Their enthusiasm about the sport made me wonder if I had known about it 50 years ago in my youth, would I have tried it? I was somewhat of a daredevil then. Now that I'm pushing 80, and I've had so many wonderful experiences, I'm glad that somehow I escaped death on numerous occasions back in the 60's! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/05/24 Full Review StanE The film puts you right on the edge of the cliff with the jumpers and when they jump it takes your breath away. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/04/24 Full Review Cindy I would like to see more of the flying, and how they learned how to fly the wingsuits. The extent of discipline it takes and less on the people. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/04/24 Full Review Debra I thought it would be more about scenery. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Read all reviews
