Audience Member The synopsis here is wrong. Tanya plays Lorett Peach the younger sister of Sue Lynn Peach who has left her sister in Georgia to try her hand in Nashville. Sue Lynn (played by Teri Nunn lead singer of Berlin) stays in Georgia to work on cars in the garage she owns. Dusty Tyree (Dirk Benedict) is their fast-driving stock car racing, moonshine running friend--and Sue Lynn's on again-off again boyfriend. Framed for grand thief auto by local bad girl Vivian Stark (Sally Kirkland) the trio wind up in the jug facing federal charges. When Treasury Agent (Lane Smith) bonds them out the three are put to work as undercover agent to bust up what is thought to be a bootleg Cigarette ring. Unfortunately, for Tanya and Teri their undercover gig leads them into a nest of smugglers, and they must use all their wits to escape to save Dusty's life and alert the Ducane that the scope of his investigation has widened to include an international diamond smuggling ring. The show starts out like a rip-off of Smoky and the Bandit, but quickly--thanks in no small part to Ms Tucker's singing--becomes its own things. About mid-way through you can see the TV series that Roger Corman hoped it would become. Still, long before the stuntman wearing an obvious wig to make you think he is Terri Nunn on a motorcycle makes his appearance, it does not take long to see this as the B-picture in drive-ins where it must have played before the demise of drive-ins. For Ms Tucker's songs, and her acting (however brief) while on the yacht I give this a 4 star rating. Enjoy it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member AKA Geogia Peaches. Roger Corman cashes in on that Dukes of Hazard money with this car wrecker cheapie starring everyone's favorite Cylon-smasher and A-Team faceman, Dirk Benedict. The first half twenty minutes of the movie has some really excellent derby moonshine racing, and I absolutely loved watching Benedict out-drive yokel fuzz but once Benedict, Sally Kirkland, and Tanya Tucker join Lane Smith's law the fun does drop a notch or two. Still, fun and friendly hickssploitation that the whole family can enjoy. VF. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member A dopey "Dukes Of Hazzard" knock off. It has some decent car chases, but the rest of it is a goofy mess. The singing subplot is lame too, and Tanya Tucker should not be allowed in movies.
