Chuck P A sweet understated film based on true story of the love between a young Dutch boy and a Canadian soldier during WWII. Very touching and emotional. Excellent performances. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/23 Full Review Audience Member It's one of the best classic movies in history. This beautiful film proves that love has no gender and age. It's not controversial unless your a homophobic person. It's a story about a young boy who has an attraction towards a handsome young adult Canadian soldier who loves him back. It perfectly captures the perspective of a young gay kid who had an attraction to a much older male person emotionally and sexually. When I was in Jeroen's age I also have some some sexual fantasies towards Teenage boys and some adult men. It's natural for gay kids to have that sexual attraction towards older males and it should be normal for older males to give the fantasies that gay kids wants. They should have add a scene in the movie where Jeroen is rubbing Walt's private area weather in his military trousers or in his underwear. And they should end it where Walt bring Jeroen to Canada and they get married. It doesn't deserve to end in a sad way. We need more movies like this, movies about a romantic story between a young boy and a much older male person weather he's a Teenager, a Young Adult or an Adult. It's also wonderful that they casted a handsome actor to play the role of the handsome young adult soldier. They should follow that casting choice for future movies. Young gay kids deserve to love who they want whoever that person is and regardless of that person's age. It's time for the society to listen to the voice of the gay kids. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The best movie I've ever seen in my life, it's a true love story, I loved it so much, and I recommend you watch it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXDBP_w9PK8 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I agree with most I thought it was a great movie and really resonated with me my first sexual relationship was a month after turning 13 with a 24 year old now I'm 21 an I'm still with him. I'm glad I didn't have to go through what the kid did of him leaving I would have been really upset. Well only reason I put some personal info out there is cus some of the comments saying its a pedo movie and sick i didn't get that and from personal experience I don't think it was like with me and my partner I'm sure if he was a pedophile he would have left me after j.r. High LOL well that's my opinion great movie and chemistry between the main actors. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member I heard about this on Netflix... not even wanting to watch. Will speak my peace... it does not matter which way you try to worm around it. This is a gay pedo love story... and that is just sick... what is next? A girl and a frog.. yet the frog doesnt turn into anyone... *gasp*!! People really need to figure out what love really is. Ever heard of platonic? Brotherly? Family? Seems like everyone on this planet now thinks if there his a sexual organ present... then sexual intercourse must be performed immidiately. No offense, but this whole thing isnt "cool" wierd, or beautiful... its sick and twisted. Grow up you pedos, please!!!! Im sorry I can actually love someone my own age of the different human sex, thats how it is supposed to be, if you think you have to go around that because it is a "rule", get over it, stop whining you sick twisted freaks!!!
