TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Aug 14 Forbidden Fruits (2006) was unfortunately a very rough film from beginning to end. I initially thought I was watching a newer theatrical release because of the poster and studio presentation, but I quickly realized I had clicked on the wrong movie. After watching it, I understood why I was confused. The cinematography was one of the biggest problems. The camera quality made the movie look dated and unbalanced, almost like it had been filmed with an old video camera. Instead of giving the film a polished cinematic appearance, the visuals constantly reminded me of a much smaller production. The screenplay was another major weakness. The writing rarely connected with me or created the feeling that the story was building toward anything meaningful. The performances also made it difficult to become invested. The characters never felt relatable or engaging, and the dialogue often felt like I was watching friends have a conversation that I wasn’t actually part of.
