Forbidden films documents the propaganda films of the Nazis, with extensive clips, descriptions and a discussion of how Germany still struggles with the question of when and how to show them. There are no easy answers and the films are fascinatingly insidious, somewhat absurd, yet intense. The questions linger and the answers are not as simple as they seem.
