In many ways, as both its plot and title indicate, Luciano Ercoli's jazzy 1970 directorial debut, The Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion, is merely highly stylized pastiche.

Entertaining and well done overall. One of the better Ercoli films. Spoilers, need a bit more fleshing out of the motivations of the husband, its murder for insurance is a bit contrived, though i can imagine it was somewhat new at that time. But overall I liked it.

Just has enough about it. 'The Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion' includes good performances from Dagmar Lassander, Pier Paolo Capponi, Simón Andreu and Nieves Navarro. It's also paced well enough, despite a few slower moments, and has a solid ending. The film is also short at around 90mins and features a neat score from a certain Ennio Morricone.
