Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Force doesn't deliver as much punch, even as it recasts John Abraham as an action hero. Rated: 2/5 Mar 29, 2019 Full Review Anil Sinanan Time Out It's a mystery why Fox backed this 'masala' flick especially as no effort was made to market it to a wider audience. Rated: 2/5 Nov 8, 2017 Full Review Anna M.M. Vetticad annavetticadgoes2themovies ...a high-adrenaline, action flick that deals with the dilemmas of honest policemen. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 29, 2021 Full Review Nikhat Kazmi The Times of India A remake of the 2003 Tamil blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha, Force is a heady cocktail of high powered action and breezy romance that ensure there's never a dull moment. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 28, 2020 Full Review Manish Gajjar Birmingham Mail Kamat skilfully doses the thriller with the right amounts of action and romance amidst a storyline full of deceit and revenge. Rated: 4/5 Oct 7, 2011 Full Review Simon Foster sbs.com.au It overplays its hand and overstays its welcome, but Force knows its audience will forgive its indulgences and respond favourably to its all-or-nothing approach. Carol S A movie you can very easily rewatch! Cute love story, passionate police FORCE! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/04/23 Full Review Sarthak B what do I like about this film? most of all, it features a powerful versus between John Abraham and Vidyut Jamwal whom I consider to be Bollywood's best physical actors (Vidyut although has been experimenting a lot with his recent roles trying to get in touch with his emotional side and also being successful at it). Other than that, this film has a fresh plot, a surprisingly great love story for an action film, a good collection of songs (Khwabon Khwabon sung by the legend KK) and some really good cinematography as expected from Nishikant Kamat (RIP Legend). when I went into this film, I wasn't really expecting anything else other than some good popcorn action, but ultimately it provides a fairly well told story with some great suspense and action scenes, a heartbreaking love story (Genelia D'Souza you have my heart), some really exceptional dialogues and the evolution of a man changing from a stone cold police officer to a person with lots of complex emotions. One thing I'd like to point out is that this was Vidyut Jamwal's debut role, and my god did he deliver a performance. He is so maniacal in the film that you just cannot predict his next move even though it's pretty obvious in hindsight. This is probably his best performance by far with Khuda Haafiz and Commando coming the closest. P.S.: was really impressed by one dialogue said by John in the film when Genelia's character Maya asks "why does he do, what he does?" He says, "today, a teenager buying heroine in a nightclub doesn't realize that the money he spent buying that was probably funding at least one bullet in an upcoming terrorist attack." Now that, is some powerful writing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Well written dialogues. Concept is not original as there was one Tamil movie named Kaakha Kaakha of which Force movie is a remake.Screenpaly in engaging and really interesting. Genelia makes Maya very cute ! Actor Vidyut (negative character) suits to that role. John again shows his power by picking up entire bike and throwing it on person who comes to fight with him at beginning. Well, romantic side of movie is handled well. Still, they can make it more intense bond to make revenge more aggressive . I would say, some things are there which are not explored well; such as strong character bringing of hero. Song visuals of 'khwabo khwabo' changes way of angle of characters. It would be good if they make it sweet instead of making sensational. Song 'Chahoo Bhi too' have great music, good lyrics and male voice is beautifully suited to the movie, song and visuals. No need to say, But John and Genelia makes amazing pair onscreen. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member A little too predictable but I liked the characters and I'm open to watching the sequel. You could see the deaths coming from a mile away though. I think the action genre as a whole would benefit from finding new ways to provoke rage in their protagonists Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member My fav. action movie of all time... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Cliche-ridden movie, but at least's still better than the Hollywood cliche-ridden movies.
