What to Know

Critics Consensus

Generally absorbing from moment to moment despite uneven pacing and a rather convoluted mystery, Force of Nature: The Dry 2 should satisfy fans of the first installment while setting up the third.

Claudia Puig FilmWeek (LAist) Sadly, the movie is a little too dry, too. May 15, 2024 Full Review Vikram Murthi IndieWire Force of Nature generates just enough mystery never to be boring, but not enough interest to elevate it above its modest trappings. Rated: B- May 10, 2024 Full Review Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com The film is well-made and well-acted, but it merely suggests depth rather than actually having it. Rated: 2/4 May 10, 2024 Full Review Sebastian Zavala Kahn Me gusta el cine It's a slightly inferior film to its predecessor, but it's still a lot of fun to watch, and it works very well on both an intellectual and emotional level. I wouldn't mind seeing more films starring Eric Bana's Aaron Falk. [Full review in Spanish]. BG0411 Boring, hard to follow, Australian accents made it difficult to understand. I go the movies to relax, not to figure out a puzzle with lots of pieces missing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/24/25 Full Review Theo S. Héro + Dry was really good, that's why I watched this one. This, Dry 2 Sucks! it's more of a lifetime movie. Nothing really happened other than being lost. There's no storyline, plot, there was no need for the climax music. Don't waste your time Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/23/25 Full Review Alexa K It was a big disappointment after the first film. The book has a lot of praise, so I'm not sure what went wrong in this sequel. While the actors did a great job, I guess I didn't really care for the characters or mystery? The first film explored trauma, buried secrets, and the prisons we build for ourselves. But I’m not sure what The Dry 2 film was trying to say... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/27/25 Full Review Steven t Not as good as the first , but still a worthy crime mystery. Would love a third. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/26/25 Full Review John O Spoilers: I watched this because of Anna Torv. Other than that, I was lost in the woods, like the movie.
