What to Know

Critics Consensus

Generally absorbing from moment to moment despite uneven pacing and a rather convoluted mystery, Force of Nature: The Dry 2 should satisfy fans of the first installment while setting up the third.

Claudia Puig FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Sadly, the movie is a little too dry, too. May 15, 2024 Full Review Vikram Murthi indieWire Force of Nature generates just enough mystery never to be boring, but not enough interest to elevate it above its modest trappings. Rated: B- May 10, 2024 Full Review Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com The film is well-made and well-acted, but it merely suggests depth rather than actually having it. Rated: 2/4 May 10, 2024 Full Review Robin Holabird Robin Holabird As in the series’ first entry, landscape overshadows people. Rated: C+ Jun 24, 2024 Full Review Derek Sante KSNV (Las Vegas) While Eric Bana delivers a good performance, for me, Anna Torv helps round out this film with emotion we can ride along with. Rated: B May 23, 2024 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Falk's return in this perfectly serviceable sequel is evenly paced and has fine outdoor cinematography; it captures a novel's texture, if relying on a few too many flashbacks. BG0411 Boring, hard to follow, Australian accents made it difficult to understand. I go the movies to relax, not to figure out a puzzle with lots of pieces missing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Jeffrey P Honestly, this was one of the less likely sequels I’d have ever expected. The ‘twists’ and reveals came as no surprise because as I was watching it I thought there was no way they could twist this and make it interesting... and I was right. The main chracter's involvement felt watered down and far less central to the plot than the predecessor, and the duality of the story did not mesh together as well as it did in the first film. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it all fits in to The Dry extended universe. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/15/24 Full Review graham g Hard to describe how far fetched and boring this movie is,terrible acting & plot, definitely do yourself a favour & give this a very wide berth,oh boy ,Eric Bana looked like he wanted to be anywhere but filming this Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review B B Great story telling. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/02/24 Full Review Katarina S a classic thriller with the well-known and often used "death on the Nile" style. everyone is a bit of a killer. first part good, this one below average Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Dallas H This search and rescue dramatic movie is a decent story, steadily paced and edited. I wouldn't say it's life-changing or anything close to it. But it's entertaining enough of a flick to watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/07/24 Full Review Read all reviews
