Bisquiteen T So, at its core it's Final Destination. Sexy middle-aged teenagers escape death and get hunted down by a mysterious supernatural force in gruesome ways. The twist is, these sexy 42-year-old high schoolers forget that the person who just died ever existed. For whatever reason, our main character does remember them, which is why she's the main character. (Really, the ghost just likes her, though there's no good explanation for that.) Problem is, they're not all unlikable rogues in the Final Destination sense - they're just obnoxious, and really, really bad at portraying young people (well, portraying any extant people, really). So, if you've recently done a Final Destination marathon and need more, this might scratch that itch a bit, but its characters (and their actors) and can be quite painful to spend 1.6 hours with. Carly Schroeder carried this movie and acted her heart out. You want to see what it takes to prove you deserve a lead role in a better movie, then look at her in this. The premise itself is super interesting as it ends up removing characters from the story, making the world seem empty and the story itself smaller. This crossed with a mystery that no one investigates until the end, and a very unnecessary backstory that doesn't actually help the main story means that it's mostly Carly Schroeder losing her mind for an hour and a half. While I don't want to see a remake, this would be a great inspiration for a storybook based horror movie (sort of like Babadook), where the world forgets, but they're taken into the book. Slenderman comes to mind as a candidate, but Into the Dark: Uncanny Annie did something similar, almost like a Jumanji horror movie....but bad... don't go watch it.
