One of the reasons Frankie, Maniac Woman works is because of the performances. Dina Silva (Frankie) gives her all and transitions smoothly between terror and humor. Go to Full Review

Tsigaridis and Silva weave comedy and tragedy together, letting each remain distinct, and in the process create a kind of discomfort that the genre rarely admits to. Go to Full Review

Nina Apr 27 So funny despite the kills. The acting is impeccable and and we feel for Frankie. The cinematography is so cool too. It will become a cult movie See more Creepy T. @Em.C.Ghoul 2d I am absolutely bonkers about Frankie! I have been waiting to see a slasher like her. She is so human; clumsy, messy, accident prone but she just wants to be loved. Bloody, absurdly hilarious and an ode to the classic slashers. The DIY necessity created a punk AF energy that is infectious. With only a crew of two, Dina and Pierre created one of the most clever and honest characters alike Leatherface in TCM 2. The guerrilla marketing paired with independent distribution truly shows the grit and grind Frankie has been on. You absolutely need to see this one! Beg your local projectionists to bring it to their theaters, the best way to watch it is on the big screen with a crowd. To call it an instant cult classic is not hyperbolic. See more Richard P. @Dr.Groucho May 21 This movie is stunning. I had no idea what to expect. It has a tone between absurdist and Grind House. In some ways it is a throw back to down and dirty independent film making. At the same it delivers a timely and timeless message. As you laugh at the absurdities and cringe at the violence and gore, you can’t help feeling for Frankie as you follow her. The performances, the writing, the direction are all top notch. Everyone delivers. See more Stephen C @bob25009 Apr 25 Funny in 1 hour and 35 minutes. All ages admitted. See more Read all reviews
