PM F If you're coming at this expecting MCU, you'll be disappointed. But if you approach this wondering what would happen in the real world if people started being born with extraordinary abilities and how would the government respond to that - this is that pic. It keeps a narrow focus on a few people who've been impacted so you get a little more character development than your typical super hero flick, and more of the emotional toll - but the inferences of greater implications on society (for good or for ill) are all there. A small movie but one with a soul that is, by turns, sweet, gritty, sad, uplifting and edgy. I'd totally watch a sequel (and I need to know Marek's outcome!!!) The lead actress was great in finding the right balance of emotion in all the chaos. Definitely worth watching. But it has a few comic moments and the very adorable Cornelia Gröschel so there's that. It ending suggests that this was to be volume 1 of a franchise. That isn't going to happen. I can't resist watching any movie with a 0% rating because, well… how bad can it be? And this one is undoubtedly bad, but it's not unwatchable, not any worse than some 50-60% movies I've seen. It's a mystery and it's nice to see that viewers agree with me at a 27% Fresh rating; not good, but not a totally unwatchable piece of crap.
