When maladjusted orphan Jesse (Jason James Richter) vandalizes a theme park, he is placed with foster parents and must work at the park to make amends. There he meets Willy, a young Orca whale who has been separated from his family. Sensing kinship, they form a bond and, with the help of kindly whale trainer Rae Lindley (Lori Petty), develop a routine of tricks. However, greedy park owner Dial (Michael Ironside) soon catches wind of the duo and makes plans to profit from them.

Putting Michael Jackson in it seemed like a big deal at the time, I maybe would've reviewed this movie years ago, but rotten tomatoes didn't exist at the time 🕜 When I watched it with my friends, they cried. Is this really that kind of emotional story? 🍿

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom, passou no sbt

Es una bella película, que te puede hacer llorar, especialmente si amas a los animales, con sus protagonistas excelentes y unos secundarios aceptables se vuelve una muy buena cinta, su mensaje vale la pena aun con actuaciones mediocres de por medio.

I'll never forget going to see this in the theater when it first came out. I have a real love for orca whales, and this is one of those flicks which is proof of it! At times, it can be corny and slow, but that doesn't stop it from being a childhood favorite.

Synopsis
