goatacolypse T @RT66881625 1 day ago The one and only reason this is getting 5 stars from me is I had no idea what "making whoopie" was often heard on the Honeymooners show with Chuck Woolery until seeing young Corey doing it while being a peeping Tom. Kudos for really breaking the acting leg on that one even though it's a slasher. If youre a 70s kid then you understand that adults were insane and you thought you were too just not the insane part. Aside from Jason and his drowning theres no real repeat characters meaning no surviors is what separates him from little Mikey Meyers. That would probably drop the knife and play with a Stretch Armstrong if his sister could get the true meaning of Christmas early. All and all it gives the nudity expected and gives you another reason other than sexually transmitted diseases to just make whoopie instead. Life preserver your kid lady clearly said in defense of the councilors. The one liners in this one are hilarious. The wet T-shirt contest with Pam at the end was great, and Reggie is a little badass. I liked the story being a bit different, with Tommy dealing with PTSD and staying with other kids going through similar things. One event near the beginning was a big shock. While some of the kills were interesting enough, it was the same old, same old here. A lot of them either don’t show the actual kill or happen so fast that they feel pointless. The story is thin, and the performances are about what you would expect. We also get the cliché kids saying “I love you” right before getting the axe. The very end had an interesting angle that I liked, but then something else happens that makes absolutely no logical sense, which was irritating. If you like these movies, you know what you’re getting. It’s just more of the same. See more Churc H @RT15677948 Aug 6, 2026 This is the Halloween 3 of the franchise, but not really. Everyone hates on this film for the obvious reasons: There’s no Jason! But that’s why I find this movie fun. Sure, Jason’s not really there, but the copycat killer really nails Jason’s vibe so well to the point he might as well be Jason himself. The characters in this film are also really fun, and I think are better written than any other character in the previous 4 films combined. Not to mention the kills, which are among the best in this entire franchise, up there with JGTH and TFC. I used to hate this film, but as the years went by and I’ve finally watched it, I love it so much. This movie is a great addition to the franchise, and doesn’t deserve all the hate it gets.
