Unable to adapt to a post-Communist Ukraine after losing his job and learning that his wife is leaving him for another man, Anatoli (Alexandre Lazarev) decides to commit suicide by hiring a hit man to kill him. But, when he falls for young prostitute Vika (Tatiana Krivitskaia) on the night he's supposed to die, he suddenly has second thoughts and tries to cancel the assassination, eventually hiring a second hit man to kill the first one before he tracks down Anatoli.
