Audience Member This very well planned and produced documentary on how the British computer games industry took off and eventually faded ticks every box in nostalgic and informative terms and it's parade of interviewees provide endlessly fascinating insight and stories throughout. Just great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member An absolutely superb documanetry on the rise and fall of the British games industry. Covering all bases and interviewing some of the biggest names in the business this is essential viewing for all gamers. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member If you're fascinated about the history of computer gaming, then this is the documentary you should watch. This is more then a historical review of the creation and growth of the computer gaming industry, its a story about *people* - people who were there, their recollections of the time, and the story behind what happened and why. Nicely shot interviews form the basis of the film content, but its well balanced with plenty of historical 80's TV footage showing kids in stores playing games, writing games at home, pages from Magazines and of course plenty of game play. When you ask yourself where did a lot of the computer gaming industry begin, the last thing you've probably thought of are kids in bedrooms, inventing code that had no guidelines to how it should be done. I lived this era, albeit in a different country, but I can relate to everything - from the games, magazines (since all of our magazines and software came mostly from the UK) through to the obsession to program my own games. Its fulfilled my midlife crisis hole quite nicely, and has provided a film I can easily watch again and again (and to be honest, I already have watched it several times).
