Audience Member First ten minutes of film with troubled soldiers is truly good. If they continued in similar serious way the film would be success on the level of Dog Soldiers. The rest of the film is wasting time shallow humour coupled with weird horror. But first ten minutes proves that director is talented. What got into him to destroy the rest of film I wonder.. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Sounded like a Swedish ripoff of 30 Days of Night but apparently this screenplay predates that graphic novel and movie by several years. It is a solid horror film with good special effects but the horror is frequently leavened with comedy, Whereas Shaun of the Dead was principally a comedy and secondarily a horror film, this movie puts the emphasis on the horror with bits of comedy mixed in. Unlike the old Universal classics where the horror was interrupted with comic interludes, usually featuring Cockney performers, the comedy in this film is mixed right in with the horror. A very entertaining film, which I recommend highly.Sounded like a Swedish ripoff of 30 Days of Night but apparently this screenplay predates that graphic novel and movie by several years.
