Audience Member Cult classic... Pretty funny... and Trish killed it in this... but for the production to be granted nearly a twentyfold budget increase on the sequel, I thought that they could have at least allocated funds a bit better; either with story development itself or just in overall production value. Props to the sound and cinematography though! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Landon J Don't expect much other than cheap , pointless, and stupid from it. Similar to the 1st one. Got a few outrageous scenes but like I said.....pointless(and scripted) Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/12/21 Full Review Audience Member Holy shit, this is how you pace a comedy. Chop it down to its barest essentials: no pauses, hide the exposition in loops over establishing shots, a plot that just gets characters from one situation to the next. It kinda reminds me of a TV show like Parks and Rec. The first movie was like the first season: pretty good, and funny, but got a bit tiresome after a while. This one's like seasons 2/3; knows its pace, knows its characters, knows its audience, doesn't stop to breathe or explain, and just goes joke-joke-joke-pratfall-joke-pratfall-joke-joke-joke-credits. And it's so much stupid fun. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member At the half way point of the film and I am seriously considering turning it off. Should it pick up I shall adjust the star rating... It managed to save it's self from only one star by providing a very cheesy feel good ending. A well produced film, unfortunately for a Brit sense of humour it bombs, but then I never liked the Office. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Tron gets Terry and Dean jobs on the pipeline in Fort McMurray after funds run dry in Calgary. Played more straight than the first's faux-documentary style and maybe better off for it; many of these characters don't feel like actors playing a part. Special thanks to Molson, makers of Old Style Pilsner beer. Liam Lacey Globe and Mail Though the energy flags a little in the film's second half, overall the comedy feels nervy and original. Rated: 3/4 Oct 1, 2010 Full Review Linda Barnard Toronto Star As with the 2002 movie that introduced us to the pair, director Michael Dowse (who co-wrote the script with Lawrence and Spence) makes it clear that these are loveable losers. Rated: 3/4 Oct 1, 2010 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See "I suggest you take up another sport, like knitting." Rated: B Jul 12, 2020 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine As much as Canadian cinema aspires to high art, FUBAR II makes you wonder if (the horror!) maybe this is what we do best. Aug 20, 2019 Full Review Chase Whale Gordon and the Whale The FUBAR films are an experiment - can two knuckleheads really get by doing nothing but partying and drinking beer? And is it believable? You bet it is. Aug 28, 2013 Full Review Mark Bell Film Threat I've got a bunch of Canadian friends, and everything about this film feels so real, despite being so over-the-top insane.
