Red T Whoever thought Ursula Andreas and Elvis Presley would make an amazing couple needed to be fired. The acting isn't good and the kid is out of place and annoying. The cinematography is nothing special. Basic Camerawork, Dumb Scenes like Elvis being a Trapeze Artist is maybe the dumbest scene in any Elvis Film I've seen, and none of the music numbers really pop visually. The setting is nice and somewhat memorable. The music is just ok. They all sound pretty much the same and blend in somewhat and usually don't tie in to the plot much. Which leads to this tries to be a Rom-Com and a Musical and really never makes them work together. Stuff just sort of happens while Elvis works at the hotel. Overall the editing isn't that good and neither is the pacing. It's just pointless scenes broken in between musical numbers. It's hard to get angry at this because it's so light hearted and it's just an excuse for Elvis to sing in Mexico but still it's such a stupid plot overall. Skip this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/23/23 Full Review steve d Fun enough but not especially memorable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun in Acapulco is a very enjoyable and pleasant, happy go lucky type of film, that once again provides us fans with the chance to watch "The King" perform several of his greatest hits, like Bosa Nova Baby, on screen. The only sad thing about the film is how, (not offensively), but mostly forgettable it is, just like all of these Elvis starrers are. But boy is this one sure a fun ride while it lasts. My grade for the film: a B Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The plot developments in this movie are absolutely hilarious. Actually this could have been better had they just hired better actors.. Elvis is easily the best one. Between the bad acting and the child-manager and a buncha dopey songs, it unfortunately isn't terribly memorable. But Elvis looks amazing in bull fighter outfits, of course.
