Audience Member What a fantastic cast and a fantastic story! This, without a doubt, will go on my hidden gems list. In fact, I couldn't understand the extremely low score at all. Heart-warming, emotional, comedic and filled with a great ensemble, even with just brief cameos from Ramirez and Paquin, Furlough deserves more recognition!!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Furlough is a how to in doing a simple movie. Light-hearted with moments of poignance. The caliber of talent in Furlough brings ease and believability to their characters, without diminishing their abilities. They act in context to the movie without overstepping their mark in order to stand out unnecessarily. With no pretension other than to entertain, Furlough should be taken for what it is; Entertainment. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review william s How can these two talented actors be in such a dog crap movie. An unwatchable female 48 hours. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Nothing says box office poison like Whoopi Goldberg! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A quirky comedy with a light touch and a humanist theme that develops as the story unfolds, delivers unexpected emotional depth. Solid cast. Female director, producer, and cinematographer. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Waste of my time ..Something was missing ... No connection at all ! Justin Chang Los Angeles Times What happens when you send Melissa Leo and Tessa Thompson on a weekend road trip? The talent pairing alone seemed tantalizing enough to warrant further investigation, and I wish "Furlough" had supplied a better answer. Mar 15, 2018 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter A waste of talent. Mar 15, 2018 Full Review Nick Schager Variety Collyer's film assumes the racially-mismatched-buddy form of "48 Hrs." and the contentious central dynamic of "Midnight Run," except that its first draft-grade script lacks the absurdity necessary to elicit laughs, or the depth that might make it moving. Mar 13, 2018 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com "Furlough" is funny and active, remaining compelling while it details small acts of connection and evasion. Rated: B Mar 21, 2018 Full Review Shirley Sealy Film Journal International A bit of a mish-mash. Mar 15, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
