Joshua M One of the movies on here with a 0% that totally deserves it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/16/24 Full Review Nathan M Another addition to the Franco repertoire of teenage boy wet dreams. James Franco, man of many alleged talents, but for some reason won't share them with us. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Leonard O Suki Waterhouse was the only good thing about this movie. Her acting was mostly good. This movie has a lot of star power like Lucy Liu, Mila Jovovich, James Franco, snoop dog and Method Man but it did nothing to make it better. This movie was pretty much garbage. The story almost made no sense, the action scenes did not impress me. The camera angles looked like they were filmed by a beginner. I do not recommend this movie to anyone. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/16/24 Full Review Ashley M The only reason I watched this is because I love Milla Jojovich. The entire movie felt like James Franco was trying to make a low budget joke out of Mad Max and he couldn't even do that right. Even a low budget film can make a set look post apocalyptic. This movie was a joke, but not the joke they wanted. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review Russel R I thought Future World was an awesome movie. I'm a big fan of dystopian, post-apocalyptic movies, and this one did not disappoint. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/04/23 Full Review Robert W Some talented people. Some relatives of some talented people. One of the worst films ever made. Which in a way I find inspirational. Not only did these people make this piece of carp but they had the kahunas to release it to a paying public. If they can do that, you can do anything. Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter A low-rent, post-apocalyptic sci-fi tale that doesn't succeed as either homage or parody of such obvious inspirations as the Mad Max series, Future World proves as original as its title. May 27, 2018 Full Review Ignatiy Vishnevetsky AV Club Franco and Cheung's unorthodox approach of directing almost the entire film in random, nomadic Steadicam shots with wobbly zooms alienates the simplistic plot. Rated: D+ May 25, 2018 Full Review Glenn Kenny New York Times I'd say it looked like what Corky St. Clair of "Waiting for Guffman" would come up with if he had a mind to make a "Mad Max: Fury Road" knockoff, but that would be insulting to Corky St. Clair. May 25, 2018 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk Franco's film really is awful, but it's also weirdly watchable - if only for Jovovich's eye-popping turn and for the spectacle of Waterhouse stomping through the desert with her catwalk-model strut. Rated: 1/5 Feb 28, 2019 Full Review Ed Travis Cinapse The look and feel of the post apocalyptic world is tired and uninspired. The synthetic plot line is derivative of Cherry 2000, which is a vastly superior film in every way. Oct 31, 2018 Full Review Adriana Gomez-Weston Film Inquiry It reeks of teenage boy fantasy, rife with female objectification, meaningless action, and a lack of substance.
