Levi To be perfectly honest this is one of the top 10 worst movies I have ever seen. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review Laurie S I can see why it was direct to video for this 'B' movie; bad directing and poor editing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/11/23 Full Review Kenny W What was the point of it being about John Wayne Gacy when this is total fiction and bears little resemblance to reality. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/02/22 Full Review the s This movie is absolutely mind boggling. It's the movie someone would make if they didn't know anything about the Gacy murders except there were bodies found in the crawl space. It's almost absurd in how bad it is....literally half of the movie is about the smell coming from underneath his house and the bugs under his house. Ironically, I think at least half of the budget was spent on bugs. Imagine doing a movie about a guy who murdered 33 boys and making a movie that focuses on the bugs under his house. Absolutely boggles the mind. There is so much real life craziness to the story and the script writer ignored it all and wrote a movie about a guy who lives with his wife and mom who had a house infested with bugs. Go figure. Skip it...watch Dear Mr. Gacy instead. That movie at least tries to portray some level of truth to the situation. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Could have been better. The acting was decent but the film itself didn't nearly scratch the surface of all the fucked up things that had actually played out in real time. Movies such as these (that cover serial killers) at least go a bit more depth in the psychological being of these people and their backstory. The deepest it got was that his dad was a jerk. There are definitely better films that cover these sorts of things so if you're actually trying to be invested into a movie, this ain't it. Just something to pass the time really. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was okay. It had the worst acting ever and terrible cinematography, but the low budget feeling actually helped make the vibe more scary and seedy. I came out of this movie feeling disgusted but in a good way on the movie's part. I feel like Gacy himself would have emitted the same vibes as this movie. Stefan Birgir Stefans sbs.is Mark Holton as Gacy is really the only redeeming quality the film has. The script is superficial and at best boring if it wasn't for Holton's performance, and the film itself looks terribly cheap. Overall, it's pretty useless. Rated: 2/5 Jul 5, 2008 Full Review Steve Crum Video-Reviewmaster.com Was this movie really necessary? Sickoid film content is far from entertaining. Rated: 1/5 Apr 20, 2006 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Rated: 2/5 Aug 14, 2005 Full Review Martin Scribbs Low IQ Canadian Gacy channels its horror through bicentennial suburban kitsch, clowns-in-the-closet visuals, and a heaving, foul, maggot-carpeted crawlspace deep with death and lies. Dec 31, 2004 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews We barely learn a thing about [Gacy], other than the fact that his father abused him and he hates his wife. Rated: 1/4 May 24, 2003 Full Review Chuck Wilson L.A. Weekly In this unenlightening, dramatized account of Gacy's crime spree, first-time writer-director Clive Saunders, working with television writer David Birke, displays little genuine interest in why Gacy killed.
