Brian Lowry CNN.com Gaga: Five Foot Two never quite feels as spontaneous or illuminating as the access would suggest, unless you’re totally gaga about Gaga. Sep 12, 2023 Full Review Amanda Petrusich New Yorker The film is personal in a way that made me uncomfortable -- as if she were meting out chosen bits of information, little hunks of meat tossed into a pit of crazed alligators. The image is flattering to no one. Sep 12, 2023 Full Review Ed Potton Times (UK) Gaga is on volatile form... yet can be excused a few nerves given that she will be performing in front of a global audience of 117 million, and there's enough self-awareness to temper the divadom. Rated: 4/5 Sep 29, 2017 Full Review Utkarsh Srivastava Firstpost If you want a look inside the life of a very successful singer and meet the woman behind the persona, this one certainly fits the bill. Rated: 3/5 Sep 12, 2023 Full Review Sinead McCausland Film School Rejects Despite the different settings in which the disorder affects Gaga, one thing’s clear: it’s not adding to her art, but acting as a hindrance to it. Five Foot Two shows a woman’s pain without any added commentary other than the subjects’ own. Alexis D Lady Gaga se muestra vulnerable, da a conocer su creatividad de forma espontánea Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Josues R I watched this when it originally came out and it was such a deep and personal view into her creative process for the Joanne era. I wish we had one of these for ever album. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/13/24 Full Review Marco Antonio P "Gaga: Five Foot Two" is a deeply engaging and honest documentary that impressed me with Lady Gaga's vulnerability and authenticity. Chris Moukarbel's direction captures intimate moments that reveal both the struggles and triumphs of the artist. Watching Gaga confront her chronic pain while maintaining a high-level career is inspiring. This documentary humanizes the superstar, showcasing her strength, resilience, and dedication. It's a truly captivating and revealing experience. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/02/24 Full Review Pranab Gist : Gaga: 5 Foot 2 is a documentary that covers Lady Gaga's making of her then incoming album : Joanne and her past life, experiences and controversies. Personal opinion : I think the instances of the past and the present were woven well. Filming technique was good, I felt connected. I think the choice of showing behind the scenes of her performances was a special addition which made the film fun to watch. There are many personal & vulnerable moments in the run time, which made the film exclusive. Overall, I enjoyed it. But the reason I ain't giving 5 is because there were some scenes which for me were skippable. Otherwise, its a great documentary. Filming technique was good, it felt connected, Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Jesse A So good. Her creative process is masterful. The way she does everything living with the pain is motivational. Loved it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/23 Full Review rojina j heartwarming and very personal. It depicts the everyday moments in the life of a superstar, and shows how it's not perfect at all. Gaga was going through some tough times back then, and this documentary made it more transparent what was going on behind the scenes. It intensified the connection I had with Joanne album in my heart. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/09/22 Full Review Read all reviews
