Joe Clay Times (UK) The washed-up cast of a beloved TV space show, clearly based on Star Trek, are recruited by gullible extraterrestrials to fight a genuine alien war in this lightweight but enjoyable spoof. Apr 11, 2023 Full Review Keith Phipps The Verge It's a warm, appealing comedy filled with well-realized characters and jokes ranging from the wry to the slapstick-y. Jul 22, 2019 Full Review Lisa Schwarzbaum Entertainment Weekly Rated: A- Sep 7, 2011 Full Review Rachel LaBonte Screen Rant Even 25 years later, Galaxy Quest is a love letter to fandom and the importance of stories, and one that has its own cast of memorable characters. Rated: 10/10 Nov 8, 2024 Full Review Jason Caro Radio Times Cleverly executed and the characters so beautifully fleshed-out that it not only succeeds as a Trek spoof, a satire on the acting profession and a parody of science-fiction fans, but also as an engaging, original space saga in its own right. Rated: 5/5 Jul 22, 2024 Full Review Michael Clark Epoch Times The ending keeps open the possibility of a sequel alive but, with the death of Rickman, all speculation of any desired sequel ceased. Allen was open to another installment and showed a great deal of class by stating it would never happen without Rickman. Rated: 4.5/5 Oct 16, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Elaine M Special effects were great. Fast moving and the humor/sarcasm was well played. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/03/21 Full Review William L One of the most fun movies ever made! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/03/21 Full Review River P I absolutely love Galaxy quest. To me, Galaxy quest is an amazing family comedy. Not only is it a family comedy, but it is also mixed in with Science fiction and action which is what makes the film so great. I definitely say Galaxy quest is the best film Tim Allen has been in. It is so creative. I like the concept. It’s basically a spoof of the original star trek show. The acting in the movie is really great. It’s got a great cast. Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell and Daryl Mitchell have great chemistry with each other. Those 6 folks work extremely well together. I like how there is some really good practical effects of these ant type creatures who are the main antagonists. Those effects were done by Stan Winston. I thought the creature effects looked very solid. Really great acting, really solid cinematography, very solid production design, solid musical score, great special effects, great visual effects and an excellent script. Overall, it’s a really solid flick. I can imagine myself being in the movie while watching it. It is a really fun film. I highly enjoy galaxy quest. Such a perfect project. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/24 Full Review Tanya P I love sci fi and this movie is my favourite sci fi comedy. I have watched a million times and it cracks me up every time. Miners not minors! Need I say more. Wait, yes let me say one more thing. Sigourney Weaver, you are a legend and will always be my favourite actress. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/30/24 Full Review Nick R Now this is how you do a satire/spoof on nerd culture! Tim Allen is perfect for the role, the jokes are great, and of course Alan Rickman remains the G.O.A.T. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review First name L Unapologetically self-aware, Galaxy Quest is an entertaining satire of fandom & tribute to Trekkies and genre fans alike. The casts commitment lends this outing a stellar credibility, worth watching again and again. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/11/24 Full Review Read all reviews
