Alistair L You see Wesley Snipes in the cast and you love the Blade movies, so you sit down to watch another awesome Snipes movie. Yeah nah, this movie sucks harder than an electolux vac Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/14/23 Full Review Ka M So much unrealised promise here. Apparently, 10 years in the making due to off screen difficulties and I'm watching it 11 years after it's release. Glad I didn't see it closer to ‘From Dusk till Dawn', which is perhaps the same genre. Visually decent, actors do okay and the plot is interesting, with direction and editing pretty good as well. It fails enough, though. Script is horrible too often and there is some truly dreadful dialogue. The best pacing and (usually) attention holding bits are highlights that are destroyed by lousy score (the worst and most prolific problem in film, for me). One of those movies I like by appreciating what the film makers were going after, but didn't quite get. If the score was removed, with a couple of re-edits this could easily be made twice as good as it is now (unfortunately, getting rid of the terrible wigs would probably be too expensive). I remember being bored to tears by ‘The Lost Boys'. I'd prefer this with just the score removed. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/02/23 Full Review Emilliano S Poor Wesley Snipes. If only Blade can save him Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/27/23 Full Review robert p What can I say, I spent 40 minutes which is 40 minutes of my life I will never get back. Why did Snipes make this movie, it probably took a couple of days in his life to make this movie and boy does it show. Everything stinks from the acting, to the music, if you want to torture someone, tie them down to a chair and make them watch this cow's excrement. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member They should compensate Snipes for such a ridiculous movie Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member What's worse is it thinks its good! Totally incoherent, awful direction, the acting has no levels just ramped up to 11. You can't count the amount of stuff that doesn't make sense! Snipes is just Blade as a cowboy, the writer and director have clearly only ever heard descriptions of westerns and horror films, never seen a good one - my only redeeming feature is the great Derek Griffiths as a lizard skulled villain - now he's cool! Anton Bitel Sight & Sound a bold folly, mixing genres and colour palettes with all the desultory visual flair of a Jodorowsky film, but with none of the Chilean director's intelligence or depth of ideas. So it's Shallowwalkers really... Nov 15, 2012 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See There is so much mad potential in GallowWalkers, but the finished product never becomes more than a bunch of crazy nonsense thrown into a blender, poured into a movie script, and strung together through the most tenuous causal links. Rated: C Jul 8, 2020 Full Review Matt Donato We Got This Covered Much like the undead beings Snipes is hunting, Gallowwalkers just won't stop - no matter how much you wish it would. Rated: 4/10 Aug 9, 2013 Full Review Scott Weinberg FEARnet Funnier by accident than Adam Sandler is on purpose. Aug 9, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews
