Audience Member A variation on the Twelve Angry Men concept, the film shows the reactions of a group of Soviet citizens faced with the news that four of them will not receive spaces in a garage complex they've been working for ages to build. A late-Brezhnev era gem from director Eldar Ryazanov, now it's amusing satiric glance back at Soviet life, with the same combination of comedy and melodrama that Ryazanov perfected in his classic S lehkym parom. Well worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of the most brilliant films of the Soviet era. Yuri Yakovlev refused a role in this movie. I bet if he was there I'd give it 5/5. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
