Adam H This film clearly attempted to lean on its gore and shock value to entertain. The plot was disjointed and lacked any valuable substance that might have contributed to an otherwise lack-luster pace and direction. Only worth a watch if you want to see mid-tier cosmetics and prosthetics dismembered or find absurd sexual violence to be a valuable aspect of film. The teddy Bear in the movie had better acting than the cast. Do better - PLEASE. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/19/25 Full Review Jason B This movie is terrible. Not horror, not gory, just a pile of trash. There is no story, no cohesiveness, nothing. The only thing I can compare it to is Hostel but with bad acting, terrible special effects and immensely boring. Oh, and the best part.... it's over 2 hours long! Do not waste your time! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/16/25 Full Review M A This is truly one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen and I’m sad to say I paid to rent it. They mislead you by quoting a critic in the trailer saying it’s “the most important horror movie of 2025” - which is an insane claim to make. The budget is ridiculously low and yet they tried to portray an incredibly wealthy family in an obviously low budget and distracting setting. The acting, editing, sound, and writing is terrible. I created an account on rotten tomatoes to help alert actual horror movie lovers that this is a really bad dupe masquerading (no pun intended) as an actual film. It felt like a community theater production. I’ve seen many solid horror movies that had a low budget - but they didn’t make the mistake of overpromising and underperforming. There are no redeeming qualities here. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/13/25 Full Review Tom K Terrible movie. As a movie buff and fan of indie films, I was very disappointed. Felt like a disjointed melding of "Hostel" and "Midsommar." Zero coherence, working entirely to shock you with elementary kill scenes. A slog to get through... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/28/25 Full Review Victoria M The best way I can describe it is Hostel meets Midsommar meets Saw. Even though it is a little over two hours long, the story holds interest. Lots of twist and turns. Basically a rich religious family holds parties where people get boxes and one of them holds a key....and they can partake in fantasies of their choosing. The movie has gory scenes (some honestly were hard to watch) but honestly I have seen worse gore. If you EXTREMELY squeamish, you may want to skip this one. The acting was a little wooden in some parts, but the lighting and atmosphere were top notch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/21/25 Full Review Read all reviews
